Caledonian – Deuchars IPA

Nose: as expected there’s a lot of hoppy and citrus notes. Grapefruit. Very light.
Mouth: smooth as silk and slightly sweet, with a nice bitter hoppyness. Again very light. Ales in the UK are usually pretty light, but this is almost a bit too weak by British standards.
Finish: Hmm…I don’t know what to make of this. It’s slightly hoppy, with notes of pancake batter and fresh slices of wholemeal bread. Tastes like a brewery smells.

Rating: 40-60 out of 10
